● Synopsis
When abandoned kittens and his good conscience force second year Sorata Kanda to move into Suimei High School's infamous Sakura Hall, the satellite dorm and its eccentric, misfit residents turn his life upside down. The decidedly average Sorata finds it difficult to fit in with the bizarre collection of dorm residents like Misaki, an energetic animator; Jin, a playwright playboy; Ryuunosuke, a reclusive programmer; and Chihiro, the dorm manager, art teacher, and party girl. Sorata's friend Nanami, a second year student and aspiring voice actress, pushes him to find new owners for the many cats so that he can quickly move back into the regular dorms. However, his desire to escape Sakura Hall wavers when the pet-like and infantile second year Mashiro Shiina, a world-class artistic savant looking to become a mangaka, transfers in during the spring trimester and quickly latches onto him. Supported by each other's quirks, Sorata and Mashiro come out of their shells and trigger change in the lives of those around them. Based on the light novel series of the same name, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo explores the fine threads connecting talent, hard work, romance, and friendship with its ensemble cast.

Sorata Kanda
Sorata describes himself as someone who is completely normal and ordinary with nothing to write home about. At first, he felt pressured living in Sakurasou because it is a house full of geniuses. But after meeting Shiina, he is inspired to work hard and finally decided to be a game designer.
Sorata was initially an indecisive person, who is uncertain of his goals and wishes in life, up to the point that Jin and his father are tired of this flaw of his. However, as the story progresses, he learns more of his wishes and desires, and started being certain about his dreams.
Mashiro Shiina
Mashiro is one of my fave characters ever. She is really pretty...and suuuper kawaiii :heart: :heart: :heart:
She is the resident of room 202. She is a world famous artist who transferred into Suiko as a second-year to learn how to draw manga. Although her artworks are widely admired by the world in spite of her young age, she knows nothing other than drawing, and has an extreme lack of common sense and living ability. Due to this, Sorata is forced to handle Mashiro's living chores, to the point that he even has to pick out underwear for her, or she will go out without them.
She has very bad grades, since she cannot pay attention to the class, but she can still pass the make-up exams by remembering all of the answers with her art talent.
Misaki Kamigusa
Misaki is the resident of room 201. Misaki is a third-year-student of Suiko who later attends Suimei University of the Arts. She is very outgoing and optimistic. Sorata often refers to her as an "alien". She has very good grades and is very good at drawing, but the school decided to send her to Sakurasou Dormitory because she pays too much attention on drawing anime and manga. She is very good at making animation and can handle most work in making one without help from others. She has already sold an animation to a famous publishing company and made enough of a fortune for the rest of her life.
Nanami Aoyama
Nanami is Sorata's classmate. Although she is harsh toward Sorata, she actually has a crush on him, and everyone aside from Sorata has noticed this. She escaped from her home to become a voice actress and thus has to live on her own.
After she finds herself low on money to live in the normal dorm, as well as noticing that Sorata and Mashiro are getting close, she chooses to move into Sakura Dormitory's room 203.
Jin Mitaka
Jin has a laid-back, caring but shy personality. He is able to guess directly other person's personality just by seeing how they work. He has feelings for Misaki, but he feels he is not good enough to match her, so he ended up becoming a playboy. He doesn't want to be swallowed up in Misaki's shadow, due to the gap that existed between them.
Jin is creative with words. His scripts become the basis for Misaki's anime, and the both of then usually collaborate to make an anime. However, his scripts have been considered by critics, and even Misaki herself, as average. This is the reason that one, Jin kept on stalling his feelings and confession to Misaki, and two, why Jin moved to Osaka University of the Arts.
Ryunnosuke Akasaka
He is a boy btw...
Ryuunosuke is the resident of room 102. Ryuunosuke is a second-year student of Suiko. He is a hikikomori who rarely leaves his room, and usually communicates with others with cellphone message or e-mails. To reduce the need to communicate with others, he has written the "Maid" program. He is an expert of computer programming, and contributes lots of useful advice and information to Sorata for the latter's computer game. According to Ryuunosuke, his ultimate goal is to make Maid become a real human.

Kimi ga Yume wo Tsuretekita" (君が夢を連れてきた) is the first opening song starting from episode 1 to 12 for the anime. It is sung by Sakurasou Girls (Kayano Ai, Nakatsu Mariko, Takamori Natsumi), with lyrics done by Hata Aki and composition by Eba and Yamazo.
